Thursday 7th December 2017  8.00pm

at Winter Hill Golf Club, Cookham

Cookham Wildlife Supporters are meeting on Thursday 7th December with a talk on 'Save our Wildlife'.  The meeting is open to all.  Local naturalist Brian Clews will look at the challenges facing our wild life and habitats in Cookham, and the winners and losers.  We'll also look at what we can do about it.  If you care about our wildlife, or you would just like to know more, please come!  With habitat loss a major problem, butterfly and insect populations falling nationally by some 75% over the past 50 years, and some bird populations down by anything between 50 and 100% over that period, we certainly face some challenges.
The John Lewis Partnership and Winter Hill Golf Club have kindly offered their premises for the meeting - Christmas refreshments will be served.  The Club is at Grange Lane, Cookham, SL6 9RP.

Over the past three years the Cookham Wildlife group has been active in stimulating interest in our local wildlife through talks and other events.  Now the challenge is to see how local people might get more involved.  All are welcome at the meeting.  You can get details of the meeting and all future events and activities -  If you just want to come along without registering an email to Lynne Peperell (at will help us ensure we cater for everyone.
