“Hairy”           or             “Scary”

Please join the National Trust Warden on a guided walk around Cockmarsh.

The aim of this walk is to introduce you to the natural history, local history and the archaeological sites but primarily to introduce you to the livestock grazing these commons during the summer months. Also to explain “Common rights,” the commoners, grazing regimes, animal welfare and the effect that the public access and dogs have on the animals.

The walk will start from the National Trust car park at Cookham Moor

11.00 am on Sunday, May 4, 2008. Everybody welcome with the exception of DOGS
