NEWS ALERT

BUCKS LARGEST VISUAL ARTS EVENT ANNOUNCED

REBRANDED IN 2018 TO BUCKS ART WEEKS

(PREVIOUSLY KNOWN AS BUCKS OPEN STUDIOS)

Bucks Art Weeks, the largest visual arts event in Buckinghamshire and one of the biggest in the country, has announced that the annual artistic extravaganza will take place 9-24 June 2018.  The event will see over 500 artists and makers including painters, ceramicists, glass workers, jewellery makers, photographers and print makers once again opening up their studios to the public for an impressive line-up of free demonstrations, hands-on workshops and exhibitions.

Chair of Bucks Art weeks, Susannah Fellows, says, “2018 is a special year - the year that we have decided to change our name to bring the word ART back to its rightful place front and centre, and the year we tip our hat to the women makers and artists within our ranks in recognition of the centenary of women’s suffrage.

We have an extraordinary range of skills and talent in our county – both women and men - and I hope, above all else, you will enjoy your experience of Bucks Art Weeks in this, our 33rd year. There’s so much to see and do – from having a go on a potters’ wheel in a working studio to enjoying a sculpture garden, buying a piece of jewellery for a friend or simply strolling through a photography or painting exhibit.”
