at 12.45 pm

at the Maidenhead Heritage Centre. Maidenhead

Making beer before 1840 was a local business essential for Cookham residents as beer was the major sterile drinking liquid available.

The talk will cover the supply of beer in Cookham, at the various stages of malting, brewing and supply – public houses and their landlords – that ensured customers had their ‘pint’.

Tickets £2 (beer not included!)
