The Big Spencer Hanging, entertainment & fun for all the family as the giant patchwork painting comes together. Includes Festival Quarter Peal of Bells, part one of the Canterbury Tales with the Tarrystone Players, music - and a live re-enactment of Spencer's Dinner on the Hotel Lawn. Cookham's Other Artist - Frank Sherwin was a highly versatile artist who lived in Cookham for 46 years until his death in 1986. He is best known for his watercolours and his railway posters.

The Odney Pottery

Utopian or Utilitarian? - The Odney Pottery was a commercial venture within the John Lewis Partnership from 1942 to 1956. The exhibition tells the story of its creation, achievements and demise, with displays of the examples of the pottery's output. Note the separate event about the Pottery.

The Festival Picnic

Dance, music, drama, children’s activities – and have your portrait painted by renowned portraitists from Maidenhead Painting Club. See separate entry for more details.

Bring your own picnic, be fed by the Scouts Barbecue or refreshed in the Kaffirs Beer Tent.

 

Entrance is free but there will be a collection for the Windsor Parapet Breast Cancer Unit.
