Early enrolment is advised as class numbers are limited.  Cheques payable to WEA Maidenhead Branch.  Please indicate if a receipt, syllabus or venue map is required and enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope or give your e-mail address on the enrolment form.  From June 2011 you can pay by debit or credit card by phoning 0800 328 1060 or visit www.wea.org.uk to enrol online.

Courses which are under-subscribed may be cancelled and fees paid refunded.

Concessionary Fees

Courses marked # are subsidised by the Skills Funding Agency and are free for those receiving jobseeker’s allowance and some income related benefits.  Study days and courses marked ## are not subsidised.  Other concessions may be available at the discretion of the Branch.  Please apply to Liz Crathorne in confidence.

Courses marked * are run in co-operation with the Oxford University Department for Continuing Education (OUDCE) and concessionary fees of 50% are available for those in receipt of certain benefits.

The higher fee charged for OUDCE courses is to compensate for the withdrawal of public funding from universities as a result of the government’s Equivalent Level Qualification (ELQ) policy.  These courses are at first-year undergraduate level and students are expected to undertake some course work.

Assistance needed

At present, most of our venues do not have a caretaker (Methodist Church, United Reformed Church, Braywick Nature Centre and the Cookham Dean W.I. Hall).

We would appreciate students’ help in setting out the chairs and putting them away, also setting up and clearing away the equipment where necessary.
