Dance for enjoyment and pleasure in a friendly environment in the Cookham, Maidenhead and South Bucks area

Dance Classes are held at the Pinder Hall, Lower Road Cookham SL6 9HF on Friday evening. There is parking in the nearby Medical centre car park. The Pinder Hall has a large sprung dance floor which is perfect for dancing.




  • 6.30-7.30pm Beginners Class

  • 7.30-8.00pm Practice Session

  • 8.00-9.00pm Improvers Class

  • 9.00-9.30pm Practice Session

Beginners Class is for people who have not danced before and want to get started. The basic steps are taught of the Waltz, Quickstep, Tango and Social Foxtrot in Ballroom and the basic steps are taught of the Cha-Cha-Cha, Rumba, Samba and Jive in Latin. The aim is to get you to dance round the floor with confidence and enjoyment.


Improvers Class is for dancers who have mastered the basics and are ready to learn a few more steps and want to improve their style and technique. New dances are introduced including the Slow Foxtrot and the Paso Doble.


Practice Sessions are there by popular demand to give dancers the chance to practice the steps and routines they have been taught.



Beginners and Improvers Class: 7.50 per person for one hour

Practice Session: 2.50 per person per session for half an hour


The Classes and Practice Sessions will take place on Friday May 3rd but no further Classes and Practice Sessions will be held in May due to the Cookham Festival.

The Classes and Practice Sessions start again on June 7th and carry on until the end of the month. 

There will be a break for the summer in July and August. The Classes and Practice Sessions start again on Friday 14th September.
