  COMPENSATION SCHEMES

Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) On 01 December 2001 the Financial Services Compensation Scheme took over the responsibilities of eight previous compensation schemes including the Policyholders Protection Board under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. The FSCS has a web site at www.fscs.org.uk

NB This is not a government body and has no call on government funding.  Any claims will be found from the Finance Industry (ABI members - see above).
