Saturday Morning Surgeries Discontinued (9 April 2004)
From Drs John Southgate, Azmy Birdi, Joe Santos and Peter Roberts Cookham Medical Centre
SATURDAY MORNING SURGERIES We have been advised that, as from Saturday 10th April 2004, Maidenhead practices will not be holding Saturday morning surgeries and we have decided that we must do the same. This is not a decision that we have taken lightly and feel there is no alternative. For patients who need to see a doctor on a Saturday morning fom this date, there will be emergency clinics held at St Marks Hospital, Maidenhead and these will be run by Bedrock, our Out of Hours Service. Our doctors will take part in this tota. Patients will ring emergency telephone number 01628 524646 and they will be put straight through to the emergency service that will run the Saturday morning clinics. PRESCRIPTIONS No repeat prescriptions will be issued on a Saturday morning either at Cookham Medical Centre or at the emergency clinics to be held at St Marks Hospital.
Patients should ask for repeat prescriptions well in advance and certainly during the week before they run out. Click for the Cookham News Front Page
