New Look King's Arms Opens 12 April 2001

The King's Arms has had a face lift. The Grade II listed building in Cookham High Street, owned by Whitbread has been covered in scaffolding for the last few weeks.

The following comments have been made by Lesly Hughes speaking on behalf of  Whitbreads to cookham.com.

 

"The King's Arms has been chosen as a perfect site to be transformed into our new brand, Out & Out restaurant pub, because of its stunning location. We always ensure that our developments are in tune with the local environment - in fact the whole ethos behind the Out &Out brand  is to retain and highlight the original features."

The garden is being totally changed with a wooden decking look. The interior is remaining much the same, but the existing fireplace is being replace with a 'real' fire place

The new restaurant will be called the Out and Out, the Beefeater name has been dropped, as beef is not as popular as it used to be!!

The new look King's Arms opened on Thursday 12 April 2001. Anyone with a voucher can get a FREE drink for two people (excluding Easter weekend). Come and see the changes for yourself.
Jackie will be there to welcome you.
