STAGEWORKS STUDENTS IN THE LION THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE

(posted 1 December 2013)

with thanks to Ann Burley

StageWorks Students from Cookham joined the cast of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe as they entered Narnia on The Kenton Theatre Stage in Henley last week with the very talented students from StageWorks Performing Arts School.

Georgia Tuke (who played the White Witch) said "I have been with Stageworks since I was quite young. When I was 6 I was in the chorus of Oliver and progressed to playing Aladdin when I was 10,  and this year the White Witch in The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.  Stageworks has really boosted my confidence and all the coaches have helped me a lot.  I enjoyed every lesson and have had a lot of fun."

Lia Gra nt-Riach who played Lucy said ” Stageworks is fun, with great shows that I have been a part of, the excitement of being part of a show at a real theatre is amazing.”

The students work towards productions, learn stage craft, technique, musical theatre (drama, singing and jazz and tap dancing) with weekly classes at StageWorks at Pinder Hall, Cookham on Tuesdays during term time. If you are interested in joining then maybe you could take advantage of their AMAZING offer in January - 6 weeks FREE trial for all new students wishing to try the performing arts. Great offer NOT to be missed.
