An
interesting feature was ferret racing. The ferrets looked adorable,
luckily no one got bitten, as they had extremely sharp teeth.

The WI supplied cream teas in their newly
refurbished hall. This was a welcome place to sit down both inside

The
Cookham Dean Village Hall was full of garden produce and enormous chrysanthemums
and dahlias with some magnificent colours. There were onions and marrows
that were large enough to feed an army and the longest courgette
ever. It must have been nearly five foot. Charles Benson did
an outstanding job auctioning off some of the produce at the end of the
show.
