The Remembrance Sunday service at Holy
Trinity Church went outside to the war memorial on the corner of the
High Street and School Lane and the very moving
service was taken by Father Ryan Green and Father Anthony at 11o'clock,
when the two minutes silence was observed. Sara Wood directed the church
choir and the Fontiersmen (soldiers) with their strong links to Cookham
laid a wreath. Valentine de Haan, who is Cookham's policeman, laid a
wreath at the war memorial and also ensured that the traffic was stopped.
