The 63rd Cookham Arts Club Annual Exhibition started on Saturday 21st August. It was impossible to move with the number of people looking for an addition to their home art collection. The Art Exhibition is the main event of the Club's year and is open to both members and non members. All exhibits are on sale and by Sunday there were quite a lot of sold red dots to be seen.

The exhibition begins on Saturday August 21st until  Monday 30th August 2004.

A Wide selection of Art

There was a special part of the exhibition dedicated to Terry Haynes who died last November 2003. He mainly painted in oils and concentrated on animal studies and cricket scenes. Terry had first joined the Arts Club committee in 1977 and was on and off it until his death, when he was Membership Secretary of the Club. A post he had held since 1990. These paintings are on loan.

Although there were a lot of scenes there were also some more unusual subjects.

The Pink Dress by Margaret Scott

Winter Scene in Cookham Churchyard by Lyn Rackley

It is another triumph for the Cookham Art Club with nearly 340 items in the exhibition. Definitely worth a visit and a browse round. You never know you might even fill a gap on your wall.
