Chiaro Makes Its Debut

'Chiaro,
a new vocal ensemble performed their first concert on Sunday 18th
September to a packed audience at Lea Barn. The range of music was varied
and covered every period of the past 500 years. It included choral works,
solos and duets to suit every taste and style from a resounding anthem to
lift the roof to gentle arias.
A retiring collection was made at the end of the concert in aid of CASH (Charitable Association Supplying Hospitals) which raised over £400 for their current appeal for a portable Echo Sounder for the Cardiac Units at St Marks Hospital, Maidenhead. Chiaro are very grateful to their sponsors Fiorentina, Sheer Indulgence, Stratfords and Mr & Mrs R. Dent who helped to make this first concert a success. Chiaro is still searching for a few quality voices, especially alto, tenor and bass.
