A FEW THINGS YOU MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT THE MARSH MEADOW CAR PARK PLANS

  • The plan will include banning all parking around the War Memorial
  • The car park will be of gravel on mud NOT tarmac
  • The cost is estimated at over £200,000
  • The plan includes lighting across the Moor
  • There will be NO PARKING on the current Moor car park.
  • The police do NOT support the proposal because of the problems of crime
  • The police have NOT been consulted
  • There will now be motorised access to Marsh Meadow, allowing caravans, travellers, ice cream vans etc etc etc access to one of the most beautiful vistas along the Thames.
  • From Keeley's Cottages to Maliks restaurant will be residents only parking

This plan could be DISASTROUS for our shops and restaurants. Bray have just closed their last shop, this could soon be the case in Cookham Village.

The Borough Council have already destroyed Maidenhead

DON'T LET THEM DESTROY COOKHAM

Marsh Meadow as Sir Stanley Spencer would not have liked to see it, but how the Borough Council would.
