The Launch of the Cookham Festival 2009 took place on Friday 30th February 2009 at the Berkshire Suite at Moor Hall Conference Centre which had kindly been organised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing. In addition to the attendees there were tasters of things to come from the arts and music around the room.

The Festival is taking place from 24th April until 4th May. It is starting off with BBC 4's Any Questions at the Odney Club and finishing with a grand gala on Cookham Moor with bands, stalls and fun for May Bank holiday.

An enormous amount of effort has gone into the planning of this year's Festival under the chairmanship of Mike Copland who has taken over from Michael Johnson, who has run the Festival since 2003.

Gail Dorrington who is co-ordinating the Artists Studios and is also one of the talented artists who will be opening up her studio for the Festival
