The
Cookham Dean Village Hall was packed on Sunday afternoon 26 February to
celebrate Rhonda Shurman's fiftieth birthday party. That was in spite of
the Wales against Ireland six nations rugby match being on at the same
time. There was a small television smuggled into the bar though.

Everyone was given a ticket on entering for a free drink at the bar and
some wonderful nibbles were being handed around.

The
hall was packed and everyone was enjoying catching up with friends, with
the sound of jazz in the background
Rhonda will soon be moving to Inverness having looked after the Cookham
Dean Post Office for many years. She will be very much missed as she
and Sam have been very much the centre of the village community.
