Accident on Maidenhead Road

15 October 2002

During the torrential rain at lunchtime on Tuesday October 15, a white van was in a collision with a car on the junction of Maidenhead Road and the back road to Maidenhead by the cemetry.  It appeared that the van had come out of the junction to turn right and had been hit on the driver's side.

The fire engine was called out, as there was the possibility of fire and also they had to cut the driver out of the van.

The Maidenhead Road was closed for a while until the van could be pushed out of the way, causing tailbacks right into Cookham Rise and also up Whyteladyes Lane.
