22 November 2000

Mandy Brar, who owns Hillcrest Stores and is a member of the Parish Council, said that she would like to see traffic calming measures in Whyteladyes Lane.

This particular corner has been the scene of several accidents and many hundreds of near misses.  Many suggested that the road surface could be improved, as in wet weather it can become very slippery and causes skidding when people come round the corner and there is a car parked at the side of the road.

Parish Clerk, David Armstrong, said that traffic calming measures have been considered and they are also being looked at in Sutton Road.
