Happy 50th Anniversary Thames DFAS

On the 9th March 2017 NADFAS celebrated
their 50th anniversary. Clare Setchell, who lives in Cookham Dean is the
Chairman of DFAS Thames. Many Cookham people are members of NADFAS and
were part of the 170 participants who were at the Bourne End Community
Centre for a buffet lunch. They were entertained before the meal by Peter
Medhurst with a lecture and recital.
The Bourne End Community Centre has been hosting the monthly lectures of the Society for many years. The club was toasted during the anniversary festivities which was enjoyed by everyone. At the National AGM the club is to be renamed The ARTs Society. Anyone interested in joining or wants more information contact webmaster@cookham.com.
