Matthew Burley

Matthew is exhibiting at his family home his wonderful oils and acrylics. The portraits are absolutely stunning especially the one of his mother Muriel "we all grew up sitting in that lap..."

 

There's a striking double self portrait; Burlk Ives in Big Country (widescreen!) Martin Jarvis from Cookham's stove shop, and a delightful doubl;e portrait of Georgina and Duncan Farquar from the Dean. To see potraiture at it's best visit Matthew's collection.

 

Matthew Burley will be showing his favourite paintings, ranging from commissioned portraits and still lifes to more fluid abstract paintings.

 

The theme of fluidity continues with some studies of water, based on photographs taken at Cookham weir. On display are his illustrations for a children's book by author Heidi Greensmith.
