Crime:
21 August 2007
Crime still fairly quiet. At this mornings briefing, Superintendant Mike Ismay asked me to put out the following car, which was stolen from Cox Green last night. The Blue Ford Fiesta index - L676 JVS was later seen at 3 a.m. with its lights off looking into cars in Heynes green - particularly high performance cars on driveways. Can everyone who lives in that area - with a nice car parked on their driveway, take additional precautions re security over the next few weeks. It is impossible to steal these cars without the keys, so the offenders may attempt to break in to steal them, or use a stick through letterboxes to recover them from a hallway table. Can everyone in that area set those alarms and double lock front doors. Our grateful thanks to anyone who phoned in. Can everyone keep their eyes open in any area where smart valuable cars are parked in the street.
