Crime: 8 November 2007

Crime has quietened down again. I was at a debrief meeting this morning to find out how everyone felt Halloween and Bonfire night went.

THEFT OF METAL. There were 2 incidents over the last few days. One was reported immediately in Manor Lane. When challenged they made off in a P reg. Ford Escort. It is still happening. The police stop checked a suspicious Fiat Panda on the 7th in the Bath Road. They found lead and gloves in the boot ! Can everyone be especially alert particularly when passing buildings that might have lead on them - churches, village halls etc. As they just rip it off, the cost of making good the damage, is thousands of pounds.

CRIME:

BOYN VALLEY:

5/11 Brunel Road. A passing witness saw 2 lads acting suspiciously near a house and phoned the police who attended immediately. They both made off when the police arrived - but there was a good outcome. No entry had been gained but a conservatory window had been smashed. I do hope we would all be as observant whilst out and about and do something about it by immediately phoning the police. That good citizen could have easily walked on by !
