Crime: 14 January 2008

Crime still quiet in Maidenhead 3 Burglary Dwellings over the weekend, 4 theft from cars and 6 criminal damages to cars. Windsor on the other hand had a bad weekend.

CRIME:

BOYN VALLEY:

12/01 Evening Burglary Dwelling, Brunel Road. Whole house searched - keys plus a silver Mercedes stolen.

13/1 12 - 1 p.m. Burglary Dwelling, Norden Road. Offenders reached through the cat flap and removed the key left in the door.! Fortunately when they tried to unlock the door from the outside other deadlock bolts stopped them getting in. Please remember never to leave keys in doors, even when locked, particularly if they can be seen from outside. If there is a cat flap or letterbox they will use these but could also just break the glass.

SHURLOCK ROW:

13/1 2 - 3.15 p.m. Burglary Dwelling, rear door forced. Jewellery, laptops, mobile phone and I-Pod stolen.

Can I remind everyone to leave their cars completely empty with nothing left on display. Hatchbacks should have the rear parcel shelf removed to expose the empty boot. Please remember they might even smash your window for the cash you may leave in the front well for parking, CD's or sunglasses.

Many thanks - remember we want phone calls about suspicious activity ! 0845 8 505 505
