Crime: 22 February 2008

 

Firstly - I have been informed by our FIB (Force Intelligence Bureau) that there have been antique dealers going door to door around the area. Think you to all those that have phoned the police to report them as suspicious callers. Please alert any elderly or vulnerable neighbours you have. We do not buy good or services at the door !

 

CRIME:

BELMONT:

20/2 p.m. Belmont Road. Smashed rear patio doors - Ipod dock, mobile phone and camera stolen. 2nd burglary in this road in a month (6/2) 6 cases of criminal damage to cars also reported since Jan 1st.

19/2 9 a.m. Riseley Road. Bottle thrown at a house and a window broken. Several other criminal damage type offences in this road as well as another burglary on 11th Feb. Eyes and ears open please. Remain alert.

 

PINKNEYS GREEN:

20 - 21/2 Blenheim Road. Rear door forced - laptops, jewellery, mobile phone 40'' TV, DVD Player and Skybox stolen.

 

BOYN HILL:

21/2 Lamesley House, Hightown Road. Entry through letterbox as house not deadlocked - Jewellery, laptop, car keys and purple BMW mini index - RJ 55 VMA stolen. The police would be very interested to locate the mini. It is distinctive. Have you seen it out and about or parked up anywhere ?

 

COOKHAM:

21/2 3 p.m. The Pound. 5 young people damaged a fence. The owner called the police and followed them. The police arrested 5 young people.

 

HOLYPORT:

21/2 2 a.m. Trenchard Road. Shed break - rotivator stolen. 7 other criminal damage type offences in that road since Jan 1st. Can everyone there please remain alert and report suspicious incidents on 0845 8 505 505

 

CAR CRIME:

19/2:

Criminal Damage to cars: Spencers Road, Harvest Hill Road X 2, Badger Close & Byland Drive - Holyport

Theft From cars: Odney Lane, Elmhurst, Northumbria Road - Cox Green, Stonefield Park, Riseley Road X 2, Woodhurst Road & Orchard Grove.

Vehicle Interferance: Wootten Way, Riseley Road, Harvest Hill Road & Bath Road X2.

Criminal damage: Highfield Lane - Cox Green.

Theft From Car: Farmers Way, Badger Close, Pheasants Croft, Altwood Road, Ray Mill Road East, Switchback Road South, Riseley Road, Waltham Road & Wentworth Crescent.

 

As you can see Car Crime beginning to creep up again, but it is right across Maidenhead. The police cannot be everywhere 24 hours a day. They need your help to target their resources. They do that in response to your calls. Please keep them coming. Anyone acting suspiciously around parked cars please !
