Crime: 18 March 2008

 

We have been informed that there may well be flooding by the Thames between Hurley and Boulters Lock over the next few days, but the threat will decrease each day. Can everyone keep their eyes open.

 

Crime is still mostly low level ASB type crime spread right across the area. Your phone call could really help as the police cannot be everywhere - 0845 8 505 505.

 

CRIME:

BOYN HILL:

12/3 - 14/3 Boyn Valley Road. Building had windows smashed.

13/3 - 14/3 Wentworth Crescent. Car windscreen smashed and offside wheel stolen. Vauxhall Corsa.

14/3 - 15/3 Boyn Valley Road. Building had more windows smashed.

 

RIVER AREA:

13/3 - 14/3 Cookham Road. Wing mirror smashed on a car.

17/3 8 - 9.30 p.m. Ray Mead Road. Rear car window smashed and laptop stolen. Another laptop was left behind.

15/3 - 17/3 Woodhurst Road. Copper stolen.

 

OLDFIELD:

14/3 Fairacre - p.m.. Footmarks over car and windscreen kicked in. 3 youths arrested.

14/3 10.15 p.m. Badger Close. Offender has jumped on the car and smashed the windscreen

14/3 10.30 p.m. Fane Way. Roof of car damaged and windscreen smashed.

14/3 - 15/3 Fane Way. Owner heard a loud bang in the night. In the morning they found a window broken, but no entry gained.

14/5 - 15/3 Suffolk Road. Wheel bolts stolen from a VW. The plastic covers were discarded.

15/3 - 17/3 Forlease Road. Fence damaged.

14/3 - 16/3 Queens Lane. Graffiti on a building site. If you see Graffiti please call the Anti Social behaviour Team at RBWM on 01628 796203 to report it. The Community Wardens photograph all graffiti and keep it on a database. If ever an offender is caught - they are quite frequently - we can compare against examples of his previous work to charge them with.

17/3 - 18/3 Grenfell Road. Offenders smashed the rear windscreen to break in and drove the car into a tree a few yards away then made off.

14/3 9.45 p.m. Kampar Road. Attempted break in. Rear window smashed but no entry gained.

 

PINKNEYS GREEN:

16/3 2.30 p.m. Allenby Road X 2. Wing mirrors damaged.

1/6/07 - 14/3 Birdwood Road. Unauthorised loan.

 

BELMONT:

13/3 - 14/3 The Crescent. Logo wheel centres stolen from a VW Corrado

 

FURZE PLATT:

13/3 - 14/3 Edinburgh Road. Metal stolen from roof rack tubes.

 

COX GREEN:

14/3 - 15/3 Farmers Way. Hedge pulled up.

17/3 2.30 Shoppenhangers Road. Eggs thrown on car damaging it.

17/3 midnight - 2.35 a.m. Merton Close. Entry to house via the letterbox. 2 sets of car keys stolen. Mercedes driven out of the drive and left behind to give access to a Porsche which was stolen. Did anyone see this happening ? Please remember to double lock all doors at night. If you have used a mortise deadlock, they cannot open the door by flicking the rimlatch (a Yale type lock) through the letterbox. Simple to do ! It would save so many of us from being victims.

 

COOKHAM:

15/3 - 16/3 Westwood Green. Wheel stolen from offside of Fiat Punto.

 

BRAY:

3/3 - 17/3 Drift Road, stables. Horse box stolen.
