Crime: 21 April 2008

A quiet weekend, but lots of petty opportunistic crime.

 

CRIME:

RIVER AREA:

7/4 - 16/4 Ray Mill Road West. Attempt to force a front door. A house close by was targeted on the 11-12/4.

18/4 1.55 - 2 p.m. Blackamoor Lane. Car broken into and the glovebox searched. This road has had 2 burglaries in the last month on the 19-20/4 and 22/3.

 

COOKHAM:

18/4 - 19/4 School Cookham Road. Lead stolen from the roof.

 

FURZE PLATT:

18/4 7.30 - 8.30 A.M. Lyneham Gardens. Car keyed.

 

COX GREEN:

18/4 Daytime. Lilliebrook Crescent. Car rear passenger window smashed. This road has had some car crime in the last month. 

17/4 a theft from and a vehicle interference.

17/4 - 18/4 Cox Green Lane. Car driver's lock forced. Car searched and cigarettes and small change stolen.

 

BOYN HILL:

17/4 - 18/4 Great Hill Crescent. Tools stolen from a van.

17/4 - 18/4 Badminton Road. Car passenger window forced - Sat Nav and cash stolen.

19/4 - 20/4 Rutland Place. Entry through smashed rear door. Ipod, Mobiles, laptops, Jewellery, wallet, TV & car keys stolen. Again all house and car keys must be changed ! A very expensive business - but essential.

 

OLDFIELD:

17/4 - 18/4 Norden Road. Car left unlocked was searched. This road has appeared in police computers 6 times in the last month, some properties twice. 

17/4 Burglary. 

18/4 Vehicle interference. 

16/4 - 19/4 Criminal damage to a vehicle. 

24/3 Vehicle interference. 

24/3 Burglary. Kids were seen going up and down drive ways trying car door handles. If you see anything like this 999 it immediately as a crime in progress. Anything else suspicious to the PEC on 0845 8 505 505.

18/4 2 - 2.30 p.m. Braywick Road. A witness saw a white low loader zooming off from company premises. Tools had been stolen. That is how it is supposed to work. You see something out of the ordinary or which draws your attention - a speeding van. That should always be phoned through to the PEC with a description of the person /ar, make model colour and index. Think jigsaw !

 

PINKNEYS GREEN:

17/4 - 18/4 Highway Avenue. Garage broken into - lawn mower, wheel barrow and drill stolen.

18/4 12.45 lunchtime. Pinkneys Road. 2 lads were seen to steal a package from a postman's bike.

18/4 - 19/4 Newlands Drive. Shed break. Lawnmower stolen and removed over a 6 ft garden fence !

20/4 10.50 - 11 p.m. Pinkneys Green. Dent made in a car possibly by a catapult and ball bearing.

 

BELMONT:

19/4 9.30 p.m. The wickets. Rear patio doors damaged.

 

BRAY:

17/4 - 18/4 Brayfield Road. Drivers lock drilled, car opened up and a laptop stolen from the boot.

 

HOLYPORT:

19/4 2.35 p.m. Lonsdale Way. A suspicious incident. The owner of a house looked out and saw a man on the roof of their garage. They immediately made off.

220/4 3 - 3.50 a.m. Stroud Farm Road. Car stolen, driven over a road sign and abandoned. The windows were also smashed.
