Crime: 23 April 2008

 

Still more opportunistic crime I am afraid across the area.

Someone had their full rubbish bin stolen in Ascot yesterday ! Please be very careful what you throw away, or put in the paper re-cycling - nothing with personal details, unless it has been shredded or torn into tiny pieces.

 

CRIME:

INNER MAIDENHEAD:

12/4 - 22/4 Moorbridge Road. Graffiti in underpass. This was reported by a NW member. Many thanks for that we all need to keep our eyes open and report such things so that RBWM can arrange for it to be cleaned off immediately by Chemical John from their environmental team.

 

COX GREEN:

23/4 2.40 a.m. Thurlby Way. Neighbour heard alarm going off and rang the police. The police immediately attended and confirmed there was a burglary. Entry gained from a top floor window above the garage. The dog unit was called. The dog tracked the scent to a nearby road where it was lost. Not yet known if anything stolen.

 

COOKHAM:

21/4 2.30 p.m. Startins Lane. Neighbour hear the sound of smashing glass and the burglar alarm sounding. Entry through rear window - 26'' tv stolen

 

FURZE PLATT:

21/4 Daytime. Switchback Road North. Entry through forced side window. Laptop and jewellery stolen.

21/4 Gardner Road. Garage roofs leaking as lead was stolen 4 - 6 weeks ago.

 

BELMONT:

21/4 9.45 p.m. Belmont Road. Front door forced - Computer and TV stolen. Offender seen making off with items under a blanket. There was another burglary in the road on the 10th April and a theft from a car on the 28th March. Eyes and ears please.

20/4 - 21/4 Harrow Lane. Index plates stolen.

21/4 11.45 a.m. Belmont Park Avenue. Owner saw a car drive up and a lad run out and take a copper water cylinder from his driveway.

21/4 - 22/4 All Saints Avenue. Several cars attacked in the road. One had its driver door lock drilled out and a radio stolen.

 

BOYN HILL:

20/4 - 21/4 Bath Road. Glue poured into shop doors preventing them from being opened.

 

PINKEYS GREEN:

18/4 - 21/4 Boyne Grove, Courthouse Road. Empty neglected nursing home targeted and copper piping stolen.

 

KNOWL HILL:

21/4 9 - 10.45 p.m. The Terrace. Arson. Inflammable items pushed through the letterbox.
