Crime: 28 April 2008

 

Still crime right across the area - we need your help. Just checking the crime sheets every day for these messages I have just noticed an increase in the number of incidents involving dogs in open spaces. Over the weekend, someone was bitten in Punt Hill Park.

 

INCIDENTS OF NOTE:

26/4 2 a.m. Bracken Road, Cox Green. Owner awoke when he heard his car alarm go off and went to look. His and a neighbour's car had been set on fire. The fires were put out by the Fire service. Did anyone see anything ?

 

CRIME:

INNER MAIDENHEAD:

26/4 morning. Norfolk Park Cottages. Offside lock barrel removed from a VW Golf. Radio stolen and speakers removed ready to go, but left behind. Obviously disturbed.

 

BOYN HILL:

22/4 - 26/4 Albert Street. Front door forced - no entry gained.

25/4 - 26/4 Altwood Road. Conservatory roof smashed by stones.

25/4 - 26/4 South Road. Car offside window smashed - Sat Nav stolen from the glovebox.

25/4 - 26/4 Denmark Street. Car window smashed - not known if anything stolen.

26/4 - 27/4 Altwood Road. Car rear windscreen smashed as well as a side window.

27/4 8.20 - 8.50 p.m. East Road. Car rear window smashed.

 

BELMONT:

25/4 - 26/4 Craufurd Rise. 2 cars broken into. Passenger window smashed on one, driver door lock forced on the other. Nothing stolen.

25/4 - 26/4 Cordwallis Road. 2 cars broken into. Both had their doors forced open. Nothing stolen from one, stereo stolen from the other and wires damaged in the steering column.

25/4 - 26/4 Elm Grove. Tools stolen from a Peugeot.

26/4 11.25. Cromwell Road. Group of lads walked past a car and smashed in the rear window. This was seen by several people. The police were called who attended immediately, and arrests were made.

 

COX GREEN:

26/4 7.30 - 7.50 a.m. Ockwells Road. Car window smashed - laptop and briefcase stolen.

26/4 2 p.m. Shoppenhangers Road. 2 offenders on the roof of a school attempting to steal the lead. As soon as they were discovered they ran off. One arrest has since been made.

19/4 - 26/4 Cannon Lane. White wall covered in blue spray can graffiti.

 

OLDFIELD:

26/4 - 27/4 Cookham Lodge, Courtlands. Front door forced - no entry gained.

25/4 - 26/4 Harvest Hill Road. Lead stolen from a cottage there for the second time.

 

PINKNEYS GREEN:

27/4 2.30 - 3 p.m. Oldershaw Mews. Entry via insecure rear door - Computer bagged up ready to go but left behind. Obviously disturbed.

26/4 Evening. Courthouse Road. Car rear windscreen smashed - nothing stolen.

 

RIVER AREA:

24/4 daytime. Salters Close. House window broken.

 

COOKHAM:

27/4 6.30 p.m. Sutton Close. Owner heard a banging noise and went to investigate. She saw a young lad smashing her rear window. He immediately made off.

 

WALTHAMS:

25/4 Daytime. Howe lane, Whit Waltham. Kicked in the front door. TV stolen.

 

BISHAM:

25/4 11 a.m. Bisham By Pass. Briefcase and wallet stolen from an unlocked van.
