Crime: 1 June 2009

 

We only had one burglary across the entire police area over the weekend ! The police are working very hard speeding up the process of bringing in offenders, taking the necessary statements and completing whatever is necessary to charge them. The process seems to be working.

 

CRIME:

BISHAM, COOKHAM, HURLEY & THE WALTHAMS:

29/5 2.53 a.m. The Shaw, Cookham Rise. A witness phoned through 2 lads acting suspiciously on the roof of the Pumping Station. The police responded immediately and put a 'containment' on the property. 2 men were arrested; tools, a blow torch and lead they were stripping were recovered.

22/5 - 29/5 Cannon Down Cottages, Maidenhead Road. Index plate stolen from a car.

28/5 - 29/5 Pearce Drive. Car drivers window smashed - SAT NAV stolen.

28/5 - 29/5 High Road, Cookham Rise. Insecure car searched.

 

BOYN HILL, COX GREEN & WOODLANDS PARK:

31/5 00.10 a.m. Gatward Avenue. Garage break. 2 lads seen leaving and another hanging around possibly keeping watch.

28/5 - 29/5 Boyn Hill Avenue. Shed break - 2 bikes stolen.

 

MAIDENHEAD RIVERSIDE & BELMONT:

29/5 9.45 - 10 p.m. Cordwallis Road X 2. Car keyed - 3rd time in a week. Van broken into - steering column damaged.

29/5 - 30/5 North Dean. Index plates stolen from a car.

 

INNER MAIDENHEAD:

31/5 7 A.M. Fotherby Court X 2 cars stolen.

 

OLDFIELD & BRAY:

30/5 - 31/5 Fane Way. Rear car window smashed.

29/5 - 30/5 Horseguards Drive. Keysafe stolen.

30/5 - 31/5 Trenchard Road. Car passenger window forced - car searched.

31/5 1.42 a.m. Langworthy End. Neighbour heard a noise and looked out to see a group of 6 - 8 lads looking in the boot of a neighbours car. He shouted and they made off - mobile phone stolen.

22/5 - 31/5 White Acres Drive. Insecure car - briefcase stolen.

31/5 3 a.m. Coningsby Lane. Insecure car searched - mobile stolen.

30/5 Early hours. Hibbert Road. Rear car window smashed - fishing gear stolen.

29/5 - 30/5 Earlsfield. Car boot left insecure and searched - 2 crates of beers stolen.

 

PINKNEYS GREEN & FURZE PLATT:

29/5 - 30/5 Furze Platt Road. Wing mirror and index plates stolen from a car.

29/5 11.30 p.m. St Peter's Road. Pallets stolen.

31/5 00.30 a.m. Avondale. Car left unlocked. Witness saw a white man in a dark car steal an item from a neighbour's car. Another neighbour saw a man sitting in the car. - gloves stolen.

28/5 - 29/5 Murrin Road. Car broken into - sunglasses X 2 and golf equipment stolen.

 

Can I also remind everyone about leaving windows and doors open in the hot weather. Opportunist thieves will be out there looking for this to happen. If they can see patio doors and windows open through your house from the front - be extra careful.
