Crime: 29 June 2009
Just to let you know - the Community Bid - 'SAFE AS HOUSES..' has been signed off and sent to the Home Office. The bid approval committee next meets on 11th July and we should hear shortly after. Fingers crossed.
Some more cars stolen in Vamoose burglaries for you: 27/6 - 28/6 Islet Park Drive, Maidenhead - Grey SAAB 99 Index KF 52 TGU 28/6 Early hours. Maidenhead Court Park, Maidenhead - Black Renault Clio Index DG 03 DCU. 28/6 - 29/6 Maidenhead Road, Cookham - Blue Audi A4 Index RF 06 FCU 28/6 - 29/6 Coppermill Road, Wraysbury - Black Mini Cooper Index AE 57 NMZ
Good hunting. They are more than likely parked up somewhere discretely awaiting collection. They won't be there long though. As soon as the thieves establish there is no tracker or the car is not being watched - it will be removed again.
I have not mentioned them, because a lot is happening behind the scenes, but we have had a very large number of the nuisance calls from the bogus police officer over the last few weeks. They were all over Windsor and Maidenhead this weekend. If you do get a suspicious call simply put the handset down immediately and press 1471 to see if the number was withheld then report it to the police noting the exact time. We have ways of retrieving it. I can assure you these calls are taken seriously by the police and are being investigated by a senior officer from CID.
