Crime: 1 September 2009

 

Only 3 burglaries over the Bank Holiday weekend - not bad.

Still items left on display in cars drawing the attention of thieves.

 

CRIME:

BISHAM, COOKHAM, HURLEY & THE WALTHAMS:

29/8 - 30/8 Broom Hill - Car keyed.

27/8 - 28/8 Mill Lane, Hurley. Boat released from its mooring. Later recovered.

29/8 11a.m. - 1.20 p.m. Poundwood Lane, White Waltham. Car passenger door lock forced - handbag stolen.

 

BOYN HILL, COX GREEN & WOODLANDS PARK:

29/8 3 - 4 a.m. Ashton Place. Car rear windscreen smashed.

30/8 - 31/8 Paddock Close, Woodlands Park. Tax disk stolen from a motorbike.

31/8 6.15 p.m. Seymour Close. Car drivers window smashed - SAT NAV stolen.

 

RIVERSIDE & BELMONT:

28/8 Morning. Florence Avenue. First floor window smashed with a stone. Ongoing situation.

29/8 - 30/8 Islet park. Garage door damaged with what looks like an air gun.

29/8 2 - 5 p.m. St Marks Road. Burglary by unknown means. Laptops, watch, plus 2 sets of car keys stolen. One set of keys found in the ignition of a car, but it was not stolen.

29/8 3.40 a.m. Cookham Road. For sale sign set alight.

 

INNER MAIDENHEAD:

23/8 - 31/8 Grenfell Place. Burglary by removing extractor fan from a window - jewellery stolen.

 

OLDFIELD & BRAY:

28/8 11.45 p.m. Springfield Park. A petrol can was set alight and placed under the petrol tank of a car. Neighbours alerted the owner before any damage was done. The police need to find whoever did this as it could have been extremely dangerous.

31/8 3.45 a.m. Ludlow Road. A window was smashed with a drain cover. A group of 4 lads were seen in the area acting suspiciously.

28/8 - 29/8 Gays Lane. Burglary through forced rear patio doors - jewellery, laptops, 50" TV and a DVD player stolen.

 

PINKNEYS GREEN & FURZE PLATT:

28/8 - 29/8 The Chase. Car door lock drilled - nothing stolen.

1/9 2.25 a.m. Cannon Court Road. A witness phoned the police to say 6 lads were breaking into a car. The police immediately attended and 2 lads were found and arrested. The front of the radio had been stolen.
