Crime: 6 October 2009

 

Generally crime considerably down, slight blip in the car crime last night. Can everyone be especially alert and ring through any suspicious activity in and around cars to the PEC.

 

The police are now specifically targeting our known offenders and that appears to be paying off.

 

CRIME:

BISHAM, COOKHAM, HURLEY & THE WALTHAMS:

25/9 - 27/9 Knowl Hill Common. Headlights stolen from a Landrover Discovery.

30/9 - 1/10 Sleekstones Cottages, Grange Road, Cookham. Car broken into by unknown means - CD's, SAT NAV, sunglasses stolen.

2/10 - 4/10 Grange Road. Garage break - garden tools stolen.

30/9 - 3/10 Paley Street. House window smashed.

3/10 12 noon - 12.50 p.m. High Road. Chocolate Labrador stolen from a front garden. The owner went out to search for him returning to find a woman acting suspiciously. She ran into a waiting Merc where a man was waiting and drove off at speed.

4/10 - 5/10 High Road X 2, Cookham Rise. Shed breaks - lawnmower stolen. The next door neighbour had a hole in their fence and shed searched and the fence in between them was damaged.

5/10 4.33 a.m. Dean Lane, Cookham. Attempt to break into a car - no entry gained.

 

BOYN HILL, COX GREEN & WOODLANDS PARK:

2/10 - 3/10 Welbeck Road. Cappings pushed off of a wall

 

RIVERSIDE & BELMONT:

A mini car crime spree seems to have occurred last night in this area. Did anyone see anything suspicious ?

4/10 - 5/10 North Town Road. Car door forced back but no entry gained.

4/10 - 5/10 Cliveden Mead X 2. car door lock punched out - no entry gained. Car door found open and golf clubs stolen.

5/10 5 p.m. Martin Road. Owner saw a lad steal his SAT NAV from his van. The identity of the thief was known and will be followed up.

4/10 - 5/10 Vicarage Road. Car door lock forced - IPOD and sunglasses stolen.

4/10 - 5/10 Ashley park. Car rear window smashed - mobile and cash stolen.

4/10 - 5/10 Thames Crescent X 2. Car possibly left insecure - wallet stolen from the glovebox. Another car searched but nothing stolen.

4/10 - 5/10 The Pagoda. Car door lock removed and all the leather seats stolen from a VW Golf. We have had series of these over the past few years and this is the first I am aware of for many months. If you have a VW with leather seats please take extra precautions at this time. We may have more stolen.

 

INNER MAIDENHEAD:

4/10 8 - 10 P.M. Queen Street. Car passenger window smashed - SAT NAV stolen from the glovebox.

 

OLDFIELD & BRAY:

NOTHING TO REPORT !!!

 

PINKNEYS GREEN & FURZE PLATT:

1/10 - 2/10 Curls Road. Index plates stolen from a car.
