Crime: 27 November 2009

I am sorry there has only been one crime update this week. The ends of months are full of meetings. A really mixed bag of crimes.

We have charged one offender with a robbery - good news. Those of you that have purchased a copy of the Maidenhead Advertiser will see the front page article about an ASBO we have obtained due to the hard work and perseverance of PC Marc Phillips our Police ASB person. We have been trying to do something about that individual for many years. Marc working with ASB team at the borough put all their energies into it, would not take no for an answer and made this happen- and we have this success. This will make a large number of women feel safer.

Our Ringmaster Intelligence line. One of our co-ordinators - my grateful thanks, pinged me an email - I am not sure if this is anything or not, but there are suspicious cars coming and going in a quiet dark area behind our houses. Brilliant - exactly what we wanted. One of the cars was stopped and searched and contained stolen property ! A real result. We would never have received that intelligence in the usual course of events. Can everyone bear that in mind ? You may not think it worth phoning the police with something you have seen, but thought odd - email it to us instead. It goes directly to our intelligence and the Priority Crime Teams. They are working on all our crime and criminals - who they are where they are at any one time and what they are up to. Your messages are vital. They have been very successful so far - please keep it up:
