Crime: 25 January 2010

We don't seem to get past the unnecessary opportunist crime, resulting from people leaving small portable items of value in cars. If we didn't do that, an enormous amount of crime would be prevented. Needless crime - needless victims.

The amount of calls we receive about suspicious people and cars is increasing really well - our grateful thanks - please keep it up - it is so useful. You can use the intel line for any suspicions you have - however vague. They go through directly to the head of the Priority Crime and Intelligence teams. I also read them and forward them to anyone else that I think needs to be aware - particularly your PCSO's to possibly increase their patrols in those areas.
