Crime: 3 February 2010
Firstly a brilliant village meeting last night in Hurley - standing room only ! I do hope everyone enjoyed it, I certainly did. My thanks to Marion for arranging it and to everyone that turned up. Having the neighbourhood Team there was a great help - please go up to them when they patrol the village and say Hi.
One of our 'Scene Investigators' came to see me yesterday about a case of 'dodgy builders' that she visited in Ascot today - moss on the roof. The elderly residents have been targeted before, a couple of years ago. They are perfectly switched on, but they had been bounced into allowing work to be done. Please remember our NHW motto which should be tattooed through you, like a stick of rock - 'we do not buy goods and services at the door' ! We don't sell Gold either !!
Can you please keep an eye on any elderly or vulnerable neighbours ? If builders vans or skips turn up outside their house, please let the PCSO know. They can turn up and make discrete enquiries.
If you wish to make contact with me - please do not press the reply button on a Ringmaster message - all the bounce backs for non deliveries end up there. Please use my police email which is always open on my desk: Jeffrey.pick@thamesvalley.pnn.police.uk
