Crime: 12 February 2010
2 lads were arrested in a car last night with a quantity of lead. They are still in the traps, but as at this mornings briefing, we do not have an aggrieved - no-one has reported a theft of lead so far. If you have a quantity of lead on a patio, garage, outbuilding, or there is a church near you with a lead roof can you check please and get back to us asap if its yours !
Last weekend we suffered quite a lot of crime. Please remain alert over the weekend, when additional patrols have been organised particularly through the night in those areas targeted. As most of the opportunistic car crime takes place overnight, we need your help to be more specific than the 12 hours between 6 p.m. - 9 a.m. During the week we have received some really good intelligence from you and adding that information to our patrol strategies may well have helped.
