Crime: 1 March 2010
I received this from one of our NHW Co-ordinators:
Hello Everyone, I have this evening (18:30) seen a hooded white young man crouching down in between a neighbour's car and hedge. I was outside getting my diary from the glove box of my car and stood and looked at him; because at first I wondered if it might be a child just hiding. He saw me looking, stood up casually and walked around the corner. I immediately reported this to the police as we have been requested to by Neighbourhood Watch.
It these undesirables know that we are on the look out they will hopefully stay away from us and our belongings. I wasn't expecting this so early in the evening and urge you if you see anything of this nature to call either 08458 505 505 or 999. The police are trying to send patrols into the area when such incidents are seen. In the meantime as usual please try not to leave anything in your car that might encourage this type of visitor.
Many thanks to that co-ordinator - they did exactly the right thing.
