Crime: 9 April 2010
At this mornings briefing, which is attended by all departments including CID, Priority Crime Team, this Community Safety Team, Domestic Violence Unit, your Neighbourhood teams, the Shift sergeants, Inspectors, Chief Inspectors and chaired by the Area Commander, Supt Tim De Meyer, we examine all the crime over the previous 24 hours and come up with strategies to deal with them. Burglaries have been relatively low this week and today I was able to put a message out to both Windsor & Ascot to say no burglaries in those sectors in the last few days.
We have had a Vamoose Burglary - where the intention is to steal the keys and cars on the driveway. 2 Mercs were stolen. They will have to park them up somewhere, where they will not be noticed, until the thieves have made sure they are not fitted with a Tracker system. They will remain there for between 24 - 36 hours. Details of the 2 cars are below - eyes and ears please. If you do see them parked up - phone the PEC on 0845 8 505 505 quoting URN 1685 of the 8th April or use the Intel hotline. If they are on the move then 999 it please:

Can I also thank all of you that submit suspicious incidents and intelligence using this intel email. The quality of information is excellent and I instantly forward it to all the people that need to know - they have been extremely grateful as well - my thanks to you - that is how we can work together to make you safe.
CRIME: BISHAM, COOKHAM, HURLEY, THE WALTHAMS & LITTLEWICK GREEN. 6/4 6.20 - 9.50 p.m. Wickhurst Cottages, Bath Road. Vamoose Burglary by unknown means. While searching the kitchen they found the spare car keys to the 2 Mercs on the driveway which together with some jewellery - they stole. How many of there were there ? There must have been at least 2, to drive the 2 cars away. If there were only 2, have they left a car parked up somewhere that they used to get to the burglary - if so we need that car. Silver Mercedes SLK 350 Auto index L 12 LKJ Blue Mercedes CLK 200 Komp index K 7 KKJ Both very distinctive cars.
BOYN HILL, COX GREEN & WOODLANDS PARK: 6/4 - 7/4 Ribstone Road. Index plates stolen. RV 07 JGX.
RIVERSIDE & BELMONT: 6/4 3.35 p.m. Ellington Park. Car badly keyed. 7/4 - 8/4 Derwent Drive. Bike stolen from rear garden. 8/4 Noon. College Avenue. Burglary. Postman found front door ajar. Owners are away at this time. 7/4 - 8/4 Ray Mill Road West. Car entered by unknown means - CD Payer & SAT NAV in the glove box stolen. Mini Cooper. The owner found a 'Garmin' SAT NAV cable on the floor next to the car which did not belong to them - have you or someone you know had one stolen ?. This is why it is essential that all 'Theft Froms' are reported to the police, so that we can track down these items. The cable may well have fingerprints on it, but unless we can prove it is stolen, they will be of no use.
OLDFIELD & BRAY: 6/4 - 7/4 The Croft, Norden Road. Thieves have used a special tool to remove the hubcap from the rear passenger wheel. Audi A4.
PINKNEY'S GREEN & FURZE PLATT: 7/4 - 8/4 Hungerford Drive. Plant put in the garden only the day before stolen. 8/4 9.30 p.m. Highway Avenue. Robbery in a local store. This is currently being investigated by our CID and is the subject to ongoing enquiries. I will put out a witness appeal shortly as soon as it has been prepared.
