Crime:

Crime
has remained relatively low across Maidenhead over the weekend, but there
is always room for improvement. There have been two burglaries and several
vehicle crimes.
Burglaries:
08/05/10 - Lower Road, Cookham; Offenders have gained entry through an
incomplete roof extension and stolen tools.
08/05/10 - School Lane, Littlewick Green; offenders have stolen lead from
a roof.
Car crime:
07/05/10 - Clare Road, Boyn hill, Boyn Valley Road and Bardney close;
Offenders have gained entry to vehicles by damaging the door locks on the
drivers side and stolen a CD player, Ipod and sat nav.
07/05/10 - Curls Lane; Offenders have smashed the drivers side window and
stolen a sat nav.
08/05/10 - Sylvester Road, Radcot Close, Shifford Crescent, Hungerford
Drive Greenleys and Oaken Grove; Offenders have gained entry to vehicles
from insecure doors and smashing windows. Laptop, Ipod, CD player,
sunglasses and childrens toys stolen.
10/05/10 - Cannock Close; Offenders have gained entry to a vehicle by an
insecure door and stolen a handbag.
From looking at all of the above it is clear to see that most of the cars targeted
had left items in them; easy pickings for our opportunist thieves!! Please
leave your cars locked and empty, if you HAVE to leave things in the car,
put them in the boot before you reach your end destination.
