Crime:
21 May 2010
I'm pleased to report that crime has remained relatively low across the
Maidenhead area overnight, with one burglary and two vehicle crimes.
20/05/10- Lillibrooke Crescent, Cox Green; Offenders have gained entry to
a property via the rear kitchen door (believed to have been left
insecure). Cash box and paperwork stolen.
20/05/10 - High Road, Cookham Rise; Offenders stole a vehicle that had
been parked up due to a road traffic collision earlier in the day. The
vehicle was later recovered in High Wycombe.
20/05/10 - Northumbria Road, Cox Green; Offenders have stolen a Ford
Transit. Registration R82 EHJ.
With the warm weather finally upon us, we have already started to see an
increase in crimes which have occured when people have left windows open
and front and back doors unlocked.
Please remember to shut windows and lock doors when you go up t o bed or
go out. When out in the garden, make sure that your front door is shut and
locked.
On a positive note, I'm very pleased to report that since the beginning of
April, the Priority crime team have solved 82 offences across Windsor,
Maidenhead and Ascot in relation to Burglary and theft from motor
vehicles. This is down to some excellent work from all the policing teams
involved, but also due to the co-operation and intelligence reported in by
the public. Please continue to be vigilant and report suspicious activity
to the police on 0845 8 505 505.
Help us to help you - phone it through.
The number as always - 0845 8 505 505 or
Crimestoppers in complete confidence on 0800 555 111.
