Crime: 24 May 2010


I am back, and I must thank Caroline for her excellent messages while I was away. She does have a full time job of her own to do as well, so my grateful thanks for keeping you informed.

A mixed bag of crime over the weekend. Still items being left in cars which draws thieves. Please think when leaving your car - is there anything someone could see from outside which could mean a smashed window when I get back. As you can see sunglasses and an issue as of course are briefcases !

CRIME:
BISHAM, COOKHAM, HURLEY & THE WALTHAMS:

24/5 1 a.m. Paley Street. Attempted burglary. A witness saw 4 men in dark hoodies trying the front door and windows and a house there. The police attended immediately, but no-one was found and the property was intact.

BOYN HILL, COX GREEN & WOODLANDS PARK:
21/5 6.45 a.m. - 5 p.m. Bannard Road. Burglary through front door. Laptop moved but not stolen. Red Porsche 911 index J 373 JUY stolen from the driveway with an amount of cash. The keys are still in the possession of the owner. Any sighting to the Intel line please on:

23/5 Early hours. Bissley Drive X 2. Burglary Dwellings. 2.40 a.m. a witness looked out of a window and saw two men pushing a blue Mini Cooper index T 99 TON down the road until it bump started and it drove off. The two men ran to a waiting car and drove off at speed. No further details at this time. Any sightings of the Mini to the Intel line or the PEC please. 3 - 5 a.m. House nearby, Burglary through forced bathroom window. Offenders managed to get into the hallway but all internal doors were locked - so they left the way they got in. Nothing stolen.
21/5 - 22/5 Laburnham Road X 2. Car passenger window smashed - Nothing stolen. Car passenger door lock forced - CD player stolen.
20/5 - 21/5 Bracken Road. Car rear windscreen smashed - briefcase stolen.
21/5 - 23/5 Delta Court, Grenfell Road. Car passenger door lock forced - radio and sunglasses stolen.

RIVERSIDE & BELMONT:
23/5 6 - 8.45 p.m. Cookham Road. Bike stolen.
20/5 - 21/5 Wayside Mews. Car broken into by unknown means - mobile & SAT NAV stolen.
21/5 - 22/5 Gillot Court, St Lukes Road. Quadzilla Stinger R200 bike stolen index VX 56 NTD. Any sightings of the Mini to the Intel line or the PEC please.

OLDFIELD & BRAY:
21/5 - 22/5 Church Road. Burglary via forced rear door & window - unknown if anything stolen.
20/5 - 21/5 Larchfield Road. Car door lock forced - nothing stolen.

PINKNEY'S GREEN & FURZE PLATT:
22/5 - 23/5 Hemsdale. For sale sign set alight. We have had this problem in the past. Can anyone who has a for sale sign near their property just be aware of any strange nois es and if you hear anything, just look out of the window.
21/5 2.40 p.m. Linden Avenue. The owner returned to the house and heard scratching noises from the kitchen area. A man was then seen standing at the kitchen door who immediately ran off. The locks had been damaged. He is described as white, 5'7'', skinny, shoulder length brown hair, early 30's, with a big nose wearing a dark T shirt and jeans. Did you see anyone matching this description anywhere in that area ? Did you see anything which you felt was suspicious but not worth reporting to the police ? If so please let us know now to the Intel line or the PEC please.
