Crime:
28 May 2010
There has been very little crime across Maidenhead since about Wednesday
as you will see below - let's hope it stays that way over the Bank Holiday
weekend. A lot will though depend upon us. If it is hot and we leave
windows open for ventilation, thieves will make the most of that. We have
opportunist thieves who have to feed a drug habit 7 days a week. They are
always on the lookout for residents that have made a mistake and left a
car parked up unlocked or an easily reachable window left open. If you are
sitting in your back garden or doing some work, you rear side doors must
be locked if they are out of your line of sight. Windows should not be
left open unless you are in that room. Please let us look after your
property and make it as hard to steal as possible.

Overnight it was stolen and driven across several fields where it was

damaged.

OLDFIELD & BRAY:
26/5 - 27/5 Ferry Road. About 15 metres of lead stolen from a roof. We are
having a lot of lead thefts again. You can protect it with either anti
climb paint - paint which never dries and remains a horribly sticky mess,
or a form of the Selecta DNA / Smartwater products. If you know of a
property nearby which has visible lead and they do not get Ringmaster
messages to make them aware of the problem, please have a chat with them
and get them to sign up by :
