Follow police updates on Twitter - Royal Ascot 2010
Tuesday 15 June 2010, 12:18pm
With Royal Ascot 2010 underway, Thames Valley Police is encouraging
members of the public to follow their latest updates on Twitter.
For the first time at Royal Ascot, the Force will be providing regular
policing updates on the social networking site, which can be accessed via
the link below.
Police will also be using Bluetooth equipment to send text messages to
race-goers. The messages will encourage people to drink sensibly and keep
their valuables safe.
In addition, a video clip of Supt Rob Povey, senior commander for Royal
Ascot, talking about policing the event can be seen on the Thames Valley
Police YouTube channel
