Crime:
28 June 2010
Just one Burglary over the weekend.
A really good weekend for the warm weather. The police are mounting so
many operations at the moment it seems to be working.
The other significant issue, was the theft of a catalytic converter from a
car parked at Legoland. Last year we had a very short series which only
lasted a few days, but quite a few cars were targeted. They are jacked up
at the rear, an angle grinder is then used to cut out the relevant part of
the exhaust system - it only takes a few minutes. If you see any cars
jacked up in a public place, with anyone working on them - please let us
know on the 0845 8 505 505 number, for the next week or so. If they have a
van or other car they are obviously using to transport the jack and tools
- descriptions of both those working on the car and the van, plus an
index, would be really useful.
