Some messages for you.

I sent out a message from Greg Williams and his team at Trading Standards recently, but it seems you are still receiving loads – a common one is the Inland Revenue saying you are due a refund – if you supply them with your bank details !
Another which is just as sinister – you get a call from your bank to say someone has been trying to access your account and as a result of too many failed password attempts, the account is now locked. To restore the account please go to and they give you a link. I have been copied in on the link – this one HSBC and it looks perfectly genuine – it is not of course.

Remain alert !

CRIME:
BISHAM, COOKHAM, HURLEY, THE WALTHAMS & LITTLEWICK GREEN:

11/8 – 14/8 Wednesday 5 p.m. / Saturday 2 p.m. Terry’s Lane. Shed break garden equipment & tools stolen.
12/8 Thursday 1 – 4 p.m. Mill Lane. Bike stolen from the Riverside Park.
12/8 Thursday 11 p.m. Knowl Hill. Police were driving around the area patrolling when they saw a suspicious car with a trailer. They stopped and searched it and found a quantity of lead in the trailer the driver could not really account for – He was arrested. The police are out and about while we are safely tucked up in our beds patrolling and making sure we are as safe as possible. That is why if you see or hear anything suspicious in the early hours, there are always people to respond.
17/8 Tuesday 8.15 p.m. Ilchester Close. A witness saw 2 lads attempting to break into some garages. They said they were just relieving themselves, but immediately made off in a car.

BOYN HILL, COX GREEN & WOODLANDS PARK:
15/8 Sunday 10 p.m. Altwood Road. Glass in front door smashed.
14/8 – 15/8 Saturday / Sunday midnight. Boyn Hill Road. Car entered via insecure boot. Attempt to remove cowling to drive it away.

RIVERSIDE & BELMONT:
13/8 – 15/8 Friday 7 p.m. / Sunday 10 a.m. Portlock Road. Shed break – bikes stolen.
13/8 Friday Midnight. Kidwells Close. Owner heard a loud noise and found window broken. He saw 2 kids running away towards Norfolk / Cookham Road.
14/8 – 15/8 Saturday 9 p.m. / Sunday 1 p.m. Powney Road X 2. Car passenger window smashed – nothing stolen. Bike stolen.
13/8 – 14/8 Friday 7.15 p.m. / Saturday 10.30 a.m. Perivale, Linden Avenue. Car passenger window smashed – SAT NAV stolen.
15/8 – 16/8 Sunday 3 a.m. / Monday 2.30 p.m. Ellington Park. Car rear windscreen smashed.
5/7 – 16/8 Gillott Court, St Lukes Road, Attempted burglary – no entry gained but door lock damaged,

INNER MAIDENHEAD:

No crime to report.

OLDFIELD & BRAY:
On the 31st of august 2010 at 11.30 am the Oldfield and Bray Neighbourhood team will be holding a beat surgery by the Holyport News Agents to meet the public.  If you are free on this occasion, we would like to invite you along to work with us. We are aware that the area has recently been subject to anti-social behaviour and would like to give local residents the chance, to air their views and meet their local officers and representatives.  they can also speak about any other issues they may have. We will also be actively encouraging people at this time, to sign up to our community messaging system.
13/8 Friday 10.45 a.m. Dedsborough Park A witness saw kids damaging the fence.
14/8 Saturday 4 a.m. Courtlands. Owner heard a loud bang and found the glass in his front door smashed.
16/8 – 17/8 Monday 10 p.m. / Tuesday 8.30 a.m. Coningsby Lane. VW T Sporter van index RV 10 URF stolen from the grass verge outside house.
5/8 – 15/8 Paley Street. Metal fencing stolen.

PINKNEYS GREEN & FURZE PLATT:
13/8 Friday 8 – 8.30 p.m. Mossy Vale. Car window smashed.
29/8 – 17/8 Furze Platt Road. Bike stolen.
