Crime: 23 August 2010


Shed / Garage breaks over the weekend right across the Borough. A garage block in Ascot was targeted – 6 broken into. A coin sized hole punched into the door beside the lock to enable the thieves to access the cables inside. This must have taken time and been noisy. If you hear anything suspicious – please phone it through !

CRIME:
BISHAM, COOKHAM, HURLEY, THE WALTHAMS & LITTLEWICK GREEN:

7/8 – 21/8 Bath Road. Insecure garage break – Lawn mower and strimmer stolen – attempt to steal a sit on tractor, but the thieves could not get it started.
20/8 – 21/8 Friday 3 p.m. / Saturday 10.30 a.m. Odney Lane, Cookham. Car keyed.
19/8 – 20/8 Thursday 11 p.m. / Friday 8 a.m. Howe Lane, Binfield. Horse box stolen from a farm, attempt top steal a second and cowling damaged.
16/8 – 20/8 Quarry Wood. Lead stolen from a first floor roof.
20/8 Friday 7.45 a.m. / 4.40 p.m. Cox Green Lane. Shed break – bike stolen.
18/8 Wednesday 9.30 a.m. – 1.45 p.m. Cox Green Lane. House being renovated – tools stolen.
20/8 – 21/8 Friday 8.30 p.m. / Saturday 10 a.m. Highfield Lane. Attempted car break in – no entry gained.
20/8 – 21/8 Friday 3.30 p.m. / Saturday 11 a.m. Heynes Green. Car passenger door lock forced – no entry gained.
20/8 – 21/8 Friday 11.30 p.m. / Saturday 9.30 a.m. Heynes Green. Garage break – bike and mini motor cross bike stolen.
19/8 – 20/8 Thursday 5 p.m. / Friday 7.30 a.m. Cox Green Road. Car possibly left insecure searched – drills stolen.
20/8 – 21/8 Friday / Saturday. Wessex Way. All 4 hubcaps and glass from wing mirrors stolen from a Nissan Micra.

RIVERSIDE & BELMONT:
19/8 – 20/8 Thursday 5.30 p.m. / Friday 7.30 a.m. Martin Road. Business yard break in. 70 batteries for temporary traffic lights stolen.
22/8 Sunday Noon / 1.30 p.m. College Avenue. Bike stolen.

BOYN HILL, COX GREEN & WOODLANDS PARK:
20/8 Friday. 2.15 – 2.30 p.m. Grenfell Road. Car driver's door forced and car searched.

INNER MAIDENHEAD:
21/8 Saturday King Street. Bike stolen.
22/8 Sunday. West Street. Car driver’s door lock forced – CD Player stolen.

OLDFIELD & BRAY:
01/7 – 21/8 Braywick Road X 2. Burglary through forced rear window of unoccupied house. Copper piping ripped from walls and copper cylinder stolen.
15/8 Sunday – 19/8 Thursday. Tithe Barn Drive. Car had 3 tyres slashed.

PINKNEYS GREEN & FURZE PLATT:
19/8 – 20/8 Thursday 6.30 p.m. / Friday 8.30 a.m. Highfield Road. Silver plant pot and tree stolen from outside a house. A neighbour found the plant and soil discarded at the end of the road.
22/8 Sunday 10.30 p.m. Burglary of house left insecure. Family upstairs and heard noises, but thought it was the dog left downstairs. A thief had walked in the back door and stolen Mobile phone, laptop, wallet, watch, keys and a black Jaguar X type index BT 54 YDA which had been parked outside. Is it parked up quietly in your road, till the heat is off a little ?
