Crime:
26 January 2011
3
really good arrests last night of prolific offenders. The police were out
on patrol and followed a suspicious car. They did a PNC check and it came
back as stolen. The car was stopped and the driver was arrested. On
another patrol, the police followed yet another suspicious car, which they
stopped. Inside were 2 known offenders. The car was searched and a stolen
laptop was found. Both were arrested.
The point ?
Not only do I want you to phone us when
you see anyone / anything suspicious in your community. Also think about
cars. Often when I am driving around, I notice a car being driven
‘suspiciously’. We all know what that means. You follow a car which is
going too slowly, or too fast – obviously up to no good. Please record
the index and phone it through as soon as you can. Date, time, location,
direction, description of car, make model and index, plus detail of the
driver and anyone else in the car. Even part of that information would
identify someone we are interested in, because we know the cars being
driven by our ‘prom noms’. They often share pool cars, but it is vital
we know where they are and which cars are being used.
