Crime: 24 February 2011

Firstly – catalytic Converters are still being stolen from car exhaust systems. If you see the rear end of a car jacked up or someone laying under a car anywhere on the road – a call to us please on 0845 8 505 505. If you have a mobile phone with a camera – remember – JUST IN CASE ! Email the pictures to me on the secure Intel line:
ringmasterintelligen@thamesvalley.pnn.police.uk

Secondly – we are beginning to receive calls from you informing us that suspicious people are out and about in your roads – our grateful thanks. We had one during the early hours a few days ago. Someone reported a lad going up and down driveways and trying car door handles. The police attended immediately and stopped a lad who matched the description given. He had 2 mobile phones on him. He didn’t know what the screensavers were or any of the numbers stored in the memory ! he was immediately arrested ! Well done the person who called, they possibly saved their neighbours from becoming a victim of crime.

Thirdly – it is same old – same old – blah, blah, blah – houses and cars left INSECURE ! Please remember PC Steve Baggaley’s analogy – if you feed the pigeons – you will only get more ! This message really must be pushed home to everyone you know – not only will it reduce crime – it will reduce victims.
